Genesis 1:26-28
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
In 1776, the United States of America was founded as a Christian nation. From our founding, the Bible has been used as the basic textbook for all our schools, teaching our children the Christian principles that made our nation great.
We ceased being a Christian nation in 1963, when the United States Supreme Court passed rulings saying that the Bible could no longer be used as the major textbook for America’s children in public schools. Since that time, our nation has steadily degraded into what many Christian scholars today call post-Christian America.
When I was a child in the 1950's, nearly all TV shows were built on Christian characters and Biblical principles. As I grew up, and America turned away from God, these programs were replaced with shows exposing children to the ungodly principles and many forms of sinfulness. I mourned for our children and grandchildren who are continually exposed to these evil influences from Hollywood.
Then one day, I ran across a book entitled THE WAY BACK TO MAYBERRY. This was a book of Bible studies based on episodes of THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, one of my favorite programs from my childhood. After reading this book, I soon realized that with the advent of DVD technology, our children could once again enjoy the godly principles that I enjoyed watching when I was a child. I also realized that what worked for THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW would work for nearly all TV shows, both old and new. That is what this website is about. Using our Classic TV Bible studies, anyone can turn any TV show into a Bible study for the whole family.

Using a STRONG’S CONCORDANCE or simply SEARCH THE BIBLE, and the biblical topics listed next to each television episode, anyone can use these programs to help teach Christian principles that once made our nation the great moral leader that it once was, and that it will be once again some day.
